Voter ID Card Mein Kya Kya Correction Hoti Hai?
Election Commission of India (ECI) ke portal par aap ye sabhi corrections aur services online kar sakte hain:
- Naam mein spelling correction
- Date of Birth correction
- Photo update
- Address change (same constituency ya new constituency)
- Gender correction
- Mobile number / email update
- Naya Voter ID registration (18+ ke liye)
Online Process — voters.eci.gov.in
- Open: voters.eci.gov.in ya Voter Helpline App download karein
- Login / Register with mobile number
- Select service:
- Form 6: Naya Voter ID Registration
- Form 6A: Overseas Indian voters
- Form 7: Deletion of name (moved or deceased)
- Form 8: Correction in existing entry (naam, DOB, address, photo)
- Form 8A: Transposition (same constituency mein address change)
- Documents upload karein
- Reference number note karein — status track kar sakte hain
Documents Required
- Naam/DOB Correction: Birth Certificate / 10th Marksheet / PAN Card
- Address Change: Aadhaar Card / Electricity Bill / Bank Passbook (New address)
- Photo Update: Recent passport size color photo (JPEG, less than 1MB)
- Naya Registration: Age proof (18+) + Address proof
Voter ID Status Check
- Portal: electoralsearch.eci.gov.in
- Apna naam electoral roll mein check karein
- EPIC number (Voter ID number) se status track karein
- Processing time: 15 to 30 days (BLO field verification hoti hai)
